NEW FEATURES:
- Available with or without XTS908 water cooler.
- Digital display for quick and easy machine setting with minimum process knowledge.
- TIG synergic: synergic control options in TIG mode set recommended parameters. Adjustments can be made as required.
- TIG HF or Lift TIG (manual): Set parameters yourself. Choose TIG welding with HF ignition or Lift TIG.
- Advanced settings for more adjustment options.
- Choice of 4 wave types in AC mode: square wave (standard), soft square wave, trapezoidal wave and sine wave.
- Spot welding for fast and short bonding. Choose the spot welding time yourself. For longer runs, the pause between 2 spot welds can be set for greater user comfort.
- AC MIX can be set: this alternates AC and DC processes. Ideal for welding different material thicknesses.
- Q start and Q time: in DC mode, you can set a lower ignition current from 20A and the time of this current. Recommended with thin plates to prevent burn-through.
Memory function: Saving of 6 welding programmes for fast start-up.
Setting AC MIX
– AC TIG and DC TIG processes alternate. This function is recommended when welding different material thicknesses in aluminium.
Min / Max 10% to 80%. This option is available with the advanced functions in AC.
Q start and Q time (DC TIG)
– Q start for a good start in low-current applications. Ideal for thin plate welding with a reliable starting arc (less chance of plate burnout). The start current can be set from 20A or higher. This function is available in the advanced functions in DC.
– Q time the duration time in which the Q start should be present. Adjustable from 0.1 seconds to 60 seconds.
AC Waveform
Square wave (default): Set by default in AC TIG welding. Gives a stable arc and maximises in welding and cleaning modes. The arc makes a typical noise during welding due to the rapid switch from positive to negative.
– Soft square wave: A softer arc than the square wave with slightly more fluidity in the weld pool.
– Trapezoidal wave: Low heat input ideal for thin materials that use a higher AC frequency.
– Sine wave: Soft, smooth arc with a lower noise level. Heat input is between square wave and trapezoidal wave with a lower welding speed.
Complete the XTT212Di with the XTS908 water cooler.
– Capacity: 5 litres
– Max. Flow water cooler: ≥2 litres/min
– Weight water cooler empty: 5.5 kg
– The water cooler can also be fitted to the XTT212Di at a later date (plug & work system).
